Patient Questions

Do I need a referral for medical imaging?
Yes, most imaging services require a referral from your doctor or specialist to ensure the correct imaging is performed and for insurance coverage. Some services like dental X-rays can be self-referred — call us to confirm.
How should I prepare for my MRI scan?
Remove all metal objects (jewelry, watches, piercings). Inform us of any metal implants or pacemakers. Fast for 4 hours if abdominal MRI is required. Wear comfortable, metal-free clothing.
How long will my imaging appointment take?
Duration varies: X-rays (15–30 min), Ultrasound (30–45 min), CT scans (15–30 min), MRI scans (30–60 min). Most reports are available within 24 hours.
Are medical imaging scans safe?
